South Africa’s top drifters battle it with screeching tyres, roaring engines and clouds of smoke thrilled motor fans at the weekend when “drifting” – an extreme form of racing sweeping the world – attracted “petrol-heads” to the Aldo Scribante Raceway, Port Elizabeth South Africa.

The most common drift machines are the Nissan Silvia, Mazda RX-7, Nissan A31 Cefiro, Nissan C33 Laurel, Nissan Skyline, Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000, Toyota Supra, Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata (MX-5) and Toyota MZ20 Soarer.
